Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LGTM Pro GitHub App and web application at lgtmpro.com (collectively, the “Service”), operated by LGTM Pro (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By installing the GitHub App or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.The Service

LGTM Pro is a GitHub App that uses large language models (LLMs) to automatically generate review comments on pull requests. It also offers utility modes including PR summaries, risk reports, and changelog drafts. Reviews are posted to GitHub as comments from the LGTM Pro bot and are stored in our system for display in your dashboard and optional public sharing.

AI-generated content disclaimer. All review content produced by LGTM Pro is generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or wrong. Reviews are not professional advice of any kind — they are not security assessments, architectural recommendations, or legal opinions. You are solely responsible for any decision made based on LGTM Pro output. We are not liable for any damage, data loss, production incident, or other consequence arising from acting on AI-generated review content.

2.Accounts and access

You sign in to LGTM Pro using GitHub OAuth. Your GitHub account is your LGTM Pro identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law. Where practicable, we will give you reasonable notice before doing so.

3.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • –Use the Service to process code or content you are not authorised to access or share with third-party AI systems.
  • –Share accounts, create multiple accounts, or use any other method to circumvent per-account usage quotas.
  • –Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or scrape the underlying AI model or its outputs at scale.
  • –Use the Service in any way that violates GitHub's Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policies.
  • –Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • –Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
  • –Use the Service to process code or content for which you do not have the necessary rights to share with third-party AI systems. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary permissions to submit pull request content to LGTM Pro and to Anthropic for processing.

4.Subscriptions and billing

Plans and quotas

LGTM Pro offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Each plan includes a monthly review quota that resets at the start of each billing period. When a quota is exhausted, new review requests are blocked until the period resets or you upgrade — reviews are never silently dropped.

Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All prices are shown exclusive of any applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location.

Auto-renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from the Billing section of your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you retain access until then.

Refunds

EU/EEA customers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from a new subscription. By subscribing, you expressly request that the service begins immediately and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the service has commenced. If you have not yet received any reviews after subscribing, you may exercise this right by contacting [email protected] within 14 days of your subscription start date. Outside the EU, or after commencement of service, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days and we will review the case.

Waitlist discount

Users who join the Pro plan waitlist are offered a 30% discount applied to their first year of subscription at the time the plan launches. This offer is valid for one account, is non-transferable, and must be redeemed within 90 days of the launch notification email. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw waitlist offers if the plan pricing or structure changes materially before launch.

Price changes

We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase for existing subscribers, communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not accept the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date at no additional charge and retain access until the end of your current paid period.

5.Showcase feature

The LGTM Showcase is a public page displaying opt-in AI-generated reviews. Participation requires you to explicitly enable the relevant toggles on a per-review basis in your dashboard. All toggles default to off.

By enabling showcase visibility for a review, you grant LGTM Pro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display the review content, PR title, repository name, and pull request author's GitHub username on the public Showcase and in associated Open Graph previews. You may revoke this licence at any time by disabling the relevant toggle, upon which the content will be removed from public display.

If you are a repository owner enabling the “show author” toggle, you represent that you have a reasonable basis to publish the PR author's GitHub username (which is publicly visible on GitHub).

6.Intellectual property

You retain all rights to your code and pull request content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to transmit your pull request content to our AI sub-processor (Anthropic) solely to generate review output on your behalf.

We do not claim ownership of AI-generated review content produced for your account. AI-generated output is provided for your use subject to these Terms.

The LGTM Pro name, logo, and product design are our intellectual property and may not be used without permission.

7.Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8.Disclaimer and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) €50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not apply to you in full.

9.Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and cancelling any active subscription. Uninstalling the GitHub App triggers deletion of your installation and associated repository, PR, and review data.

We may terminate or suspend your account with 14 days' notice, or immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or if we are required to do so by law.

Sections 3 (Acceptable use), 5 (Showcase, as to content previously made public), 6 (Intellectual property), 7 (Privacy), 8 (Disclaimer and limitation of liability), and 10 (Governing law) survive termination.

10.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or seek redress through your local consumer protection authority. GDPR-related complaints may be directed to your local data protection authority (in Portugal: CNPD — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), regardless of this choice of law clause.

11.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12.Force majeure

We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages or failures of third-party services on which the Service depends (including GitHub, Anthropic, Stripe, Vercel, and Railway), acts of God, war, civil unrest, government action, or internet infrastructure failures.
